Here are four design moods that are currently emerging and are set to reshape home style throughout the rest of the year.
1. Mocha mousse
Embrace warmth and elegance with the “mocha mousse” palette, a design style that thrives on rich grounding tones.

“Rich and grounded tones bring warmth and nourishment for the mind, body and soul,” Luxaflex head of product and marketing Diana Altiparmakova said.
“Homeowners are looking to create comfortable and adaptable environments while being more creative with the use of texture, shape and colour.”

2. Luxe farmhouse

This style embodies the traditional Australian farmhouse with symmetry, texture, and traditional patterns, highlighted by a colour palette of antique white and muted grey.

Ms Altiparmakova suggested making a statement by pairing dark, contrasting furniture with white, clean materials.
She recommended “sheer curtains feature a soft, lightweight woven fabric that elegantly diffuse sunlight to naturally brighten up a room while also retaining some daytime privacy.”
“[They are] a perfect option for both winter and summer and for rooms that don’t require complete blockout.”
3. Modern Gatsby
Dive into an era-spanning blend of vintage and contemporary with the “modern Gatsby” style.
This design captures the imagination with its use of jewel tones and luxurious materials that make bold, dramatic statements.
“Switching the colour scheme of a room to deep jewel tones such as rich saturated reds and contrasting moody mustard is an easy way to inject warmth, while textures and fabrics can also enhance a luxurious feel,” Ms Altiparmakova said.

Devitt Property Group’s The Muse in Melbourne’s St Kilda is one example of this opulent look with its interiors designed in collaboration by Bruce Henderson Interiors, K.P.D.O and Greg Natale design.
Future residents will also be able to consult with one of the three firms to further tailor their homes layouts and finishes.
4. Coastal canvas
